Saving Christmas for the Children with 1034 SunFM

As news filtered through that Christmas might be cancelled, the team at Olivers were asked by Sunderland's top radio station, SunFM, if they could help !

The Elves had gone on strike over working conditions and without a major shift in policy, Santa had a problem on his hands !

We had a great day at Olivers on Thursday as Mark Black hosted his popular day time radio show, live from the reception at Olivers Dental Studio in Sunderland. The five hours of fun was combined with  a celebration of Studio owner Michael's 30 years in practice. Several of our most loyal patients over the thirty years joined the magnificent choir from St Annes school as Christmas Carols filled the Studio. The lovely Miss Sunderland 2013 joined the fun as she had her picture taken with the school children on Santa's Sleigh.

SunFM hosted a meeting with Elves representative, firebrand left winger Derek Hatton from Liverpool and Studio principle Michael Oliver. After a long meeting, a solution to the Elves strike finally surfaced. Olivers had agreed to set up a competition for one lucky family to travel on the Polar Express to meet Santa and his Elves on Tues 17th December with their very own solution to the big Elves strike. We hope this is going to save Christmas, the ideas are already coming in. Lets hope the winning family can come up with a solution,we are sure they will. Hundreds of entries are flooding into the SunFM studio and Olivers Dental Studio in East Herrington ,Sunderland.

Trying our best to have fun as well as helping people with their dental problems has always been at the heart of the success of the Studio.

"Possibly the best day we've had in the Studio in 30 years" - Michael Oliver
